Last year was very productive for me in terms of photography. Beside many workshops and outings with friends I went out on my own a lot and this year also with a drone.
Because of injuries and lack of time I had to put mountaineering on a side track. Hopefully more of high altitudes in 2019!
Unlike last years, when I posted most popular photos of the year, I am posting my personal favourites of Slovenia. Because of this I would appreciate your comments even more. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the photos!
Check out my previous selections of the best Slovenia photos of the year.

You are an extremely talented photographer Luka and I am so fortunate to have traveled with you on multiple occasions. All of the above photographs are wonderful.
Thank you Freddy! I am looking forward to meet you again in Dolomites this year again. We will have such a nice group – can’t wait!
Rateče – Wonderfully clean and pristine.
The blue at Peričnik is just perfect.
Sveti Andrej – wow!
I’d go out and buy a drone now if I thought I could get up that early 😉
Moody morning is very Japanese in feel – reminds me of Shinzo Maeda.
Bohinj may throw up the most amazing scenes but only someone who loves it can capture them. Those two are magnificent.
Trenta – I know that farm. For years I wanted to live there (not very realistic but hey it was a dream).
Ah, my beloved Soča. How the devil did you get that even light? Wonderful.
Hlevni Vrh is just stunning – like god playing with laser effects.
Hard to pick a favourite, a toss up between the first Bohinj shot (especially after I noticed the bird in the mist) and the Sveti Andrej; I could look at them both for hours.
Very very well done!
Hi Bill! Thank you for your detailed reply. I appreciate you taking time to tell me why you like particular photo.
Here is the spoiler – St Andrew church shot was taken at sunset – go by you drone now 🙂
Cracking shots, Buddy! Have a very successful year!
Thanks Dancho! Have you noticed you are a star in one of the photos? 😉
yes, sure. It is my favourite image 😀
Not bad for a young whippersnapper! I really enjoyed our tour to Serbia and Macedonia. It was one of the highlights of the year—and of course Georgia
Thanks Jeremy! I had to look up what whippersnapper means – and I love the definition: A term generally used by old persons, to insult the younger generation. 😀
