Croatia photography tour

All inclusive photography tour, that covers the highlights of the Adriatic coast and inner Croatia.

This 11-day tour of Croatia offers a wealth of photographic possibilities and the chance to stretch yourself creatively in some of Europe’s most stunning locations. You’ll return with an impressive portfolio of travel shots as well as some incredible memories of the Adriatic coast and the historical region of Dalmatia.

Discover Dubrovnik, the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ according to Byron, with its ancient streets and beautifully preserved city walls. Chase light from sunrise to sunset on Croatia’s sunniest island, Hvar, renowned for its natural beauty, lavender fields and spectacular scenery. Try creative long exposures and capture waterfalls and stunning reflections at Plitvice National Park, the ‘lake district’ of Croatia – don’t forget your polariser for this part of the tour! Move on to the charming old town of Rovinj on the Istrian Peninsula including a visit to the Roman amphitheatre at Pula. Get close ups of stunning architectural details and capture the colour and bustle of life in the enchanting cobbled streets. Contrast seascapes and the coastal resorts with a final stay inland in the thriving city of Zagreb. Walk the city camera in hand and capture medieval to Austro-Hungarian architecture, café culture, trams, markets and rooftop views over lively squares. There’s something in this city for everyone.

This tour is very diverse and involves a lot of outdoor photography. We will look for scenic vantage points, sometimes we can drive there, sometimes we need to walk a bit. Dubrovnik is notorious for its steps and the city walls require about two hours walk. Plitvice Lakes national park is all outdoors and there are some moderate elevation changes. You should therefore have a moderate level of fitness and come with clothes and footwear suitable for the environment. It is advised to bring a comfortable camera bag. If you have a lot of camera gear we suggest to bring a lighter bag/backpack/beltpack for shorter day outings. All levels of photographer, from beginner to pro, are welcome. You will need a tripod and a polarizing filter to make the most of the techniques we’ll incorporate. A cable release and a macro lens are desirable but not essential.

I really appreciated the time at Plitvice Lakes, it was like being in one of the worlds most beautiful classrooms and Luka’s guidance and instruction made it a turning point for me in terms of understanding light and motion and how to capture those elements with my camera. More testimonials…

I appreciate all the insights regarding photography. Believe it or not, I did learn quite a bit. But also, learning as much as we did about each place we visited. The addition of the day trip to Mostar was unexpected and an amazing place to visit. Your efforts to modify the itinerary due to the rainy conditions were also appreciated. More testimonials…
